Ethos Business Advisors, Inc., is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and serves clients in the United States and internationally. We provide advising and coaching services both in person and virtually. We help business owners and professional practices develop a clear vision for their business and work with them to implement the steps needed to achieve the desired results. Our Leadership

Douglas Grant is founder and owner of Ethos Business Advisors, Inc., providing coaching services to companies, organizations and individuals seeking increased productivity and bottom line revenue results. An accomplished business professional with over twenty-three years of management and operations leadership in the corporate business world, his longevity and experience are highlighted by a solution-oriented approach to business.

Prior to opening his firm, Doug served as Senior Vice President, Global Operations Leader for XL Global Asset Protection Services and SVP, Chief Energy Underwriter, and Chief Engineering Operations Officer for XL Insurance. His responsibilities included development and achievement of budgets in excess of $200 million per year, and leading quality, profitability, and strategy development. He led the recruitment and growth of staff through effective hiring, training and team building, was a member of the property Executive Management Board and he oversaw teams in major financial centers around the world. Doug's client background includes nearly every major business sector, including industrial, technology, energy, chemical, retail, hospitality, healthcare, construction, aerospace, metals, paper, consumer products, financial services, distribution and manufacturing.

Doug's business advisory practice is based upon the ethos of integrity and authenticity in leadership, customer service and community service.

Having a view that learning is a lifelong process, he remains current and knowledgeable of ongoing business developments, business practices, and coaching.

Other Activities, Awards and Designations

Doug is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), a Founding Partner and Certified Coach, Trainer and Speaker with the John Maxwell Team, a member of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte, and is a Licensed Professional Business Coach with the Professional Business Coaches Alliance (PBCA). This partnership with the PBCA allows him access to more than 100 other coaches throughout the United States and the world with varying backgrounds, all dedicated to the success of small to medium business owners. The PBCA also shares a wealth of resources with regard to analyzing your business, determining needs, and providing solutions for effective change.

He also is Charter Member and long-time officer (currently VP) of Toastmasters International #1055512, where he has received the ALB designation.

Doug is a member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and the Charlotte Christian Chamber of Commerce.

Doug is a native Floridian, but has lived in various locations in the U.S. along with living and working internationally for nearly 8 years.

With 15 years experience working with international and domestic clients, Doug developed a passion for working with other cultures. He has many year of experience in managing cross-cultural relationships for business results. Doug has a very diverse and unique background. Following undergraduate work at the U.S. Air Force Academy, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Central Florida, with further graduate studies in International Business at Rollins College and Webster University in Florida and London. Doug received a certificate in Global Leadership from Thunderbird Executive Education, at the Garvin School for International Management. Doug has completed several training and leadership programs in the areas of quality, negotiation, sales and leadership. When not busy with his business practice, Doug enjoys family time with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys an active lifestyle of hiking (from the Appalachians to the Alps), running (he has completed several half and full marathons) and travel throughout the world and experiencing other cultures. He has served on missions to Romania and Ukraine to help those in need.
